Daryl is a Writer / Marketing Consultant, born in the City of Angels (L.A.), and raised both there and Honolulu. From age 15, he would often take the famed, 36-hour ‘bullet’ train from Mexicali to Guadalajara, Mexico…to visit friends in Ajijic, Jalisco. It was only then that he realized he had severely bitten by not just one, but several travel bugs. After university time in San Diego, CA, he called Puerto Vallarta, the Yucatan Peninsula and Guanajuato, Mexico, home. This led to a wee stint as a Pachinko parlor manger in Tokyo, Japan. After that, Europe called…and he answered. This meant 10 years in France, Denmark, Scotland and Andalusia, Spain. During his time in Marbella, Spain, he noted that he could view Morocco, Gibraltar, sun burnt Brits and errant smugglers everyday…all from the convenience of his balcony (as you do!). His infatuation with blizzards and thunder snow led him to move last year to the ‘Historic Allentown District’ of Buffalo, NY, on the ‘Niagara Frontier’, with Canada. Apart from travel, his hobbies are riding big, shore break waves (Sandy Beach Park, Hawai’i is heaven for him), food, meteorology and reading the classics in French. An avid pianist, he would love to spend an hour each with Rachmaninoff, Chopin and Lizst…if he could just get his time machine to work! His motto is: “Just because we were born in one place, it doesn’t mean we have to die there so, ‘Keep on truckin!’” His Web site is StuckonTravel.com and can be reached at info@stuckontravel.com
